UMI is seeking to expand its manufacturing platform. We are open to partnering with other businesses (family-owned or otherwise) in a variety of situations. Our general investment criteria are as follows:

• Established businesses in the manufacturing, fabrication, processing, materials, and/or service industries.

• Currently buy metal coils and sheets as well as plastic resin in large quantities.

• $5 - 30 million in annual revenue and up to $3 million in annual earnings.

• Preference for businesses in the upper Midwest but open to other locations. Currently have operations in Minnesota and North Carolina.

• Preference for control transactions but open to partnering with other family businesses undergoing a generational change.

• Flexible on transaction structure to meet seller legacy objectives and optimize seller tax burden.
